Playing Royal Lytham tomorrow

Clubs cleaned, even my shoes, I'm playing Royal Lytham tomorrow and want to look the part even if I do hack the place up. It's a Championship golf course similar to the one that humbled the world's greatest at the Open last week (Birkdale) so my chances of coming out alive are 50/50. So excited though, it's what golfers dream of playing a course like this. Working for a bank can be mundane but when you benefit from golfing junketts it makes it all worthwhile. Break 100 and I'll be cartwheeling around the clubhouse, I'll let you know.

Suede

This weekend I will mostly be listening to Suede and their splendid 'Head Music' album. Dated around 2000, either that or I just listened to it a lot that year, it was something of a soundtrack to my life, I'd listen to it earnestly, nodding like Phil Neal sitting alongside Graham Taylor. She's In Fashion would be the headline track, Everything Will Flow my favourite though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAwcu8-af5I. Suede were a unique sound, they were up themselves but so are most bands, they were great lyricists. And Brett Anderson had admirable jaw structure, not that I was jealous.
