Easter's Middle Day

Good Friday - Christ crucified. Easter Sunday - Christ risen. What about the middle day, Saturday, when the disciples must have felt as many modern day Christians do - Where is Jesus? God can seem so distant. Can't see him, hear him, touch him. At least the disciples had the benefit of seeing him for three years in the lead up to his death, then see him rise again. But Jesus said blessed are those who do not see yet still believe, or words to that effect, so I'm consoled with this until He comes again.
